Suffering the effects of a disjointed brand identity and muddled strategy, iconic speciality coffee roaster, Sensory Lab needed help to realign itself and make sense of its role. For us, what started out as a simple packaging project quickly turned into a total Brand Reboot as we discovered the brand was in need of a serious bit of maintenance. Using Sensory Lab’s original mission to ‘deliver the ultimate coffee experience’ as a starting point, we re-injected a sense of energy and purpose into the brand with the statement: ‘Smell. Touch. Taste. Look. Listen. Sensory Lab. Coffee Made Perfect’.
People naturally experience coffee in many different ways, moments and places so we also explored what makes the perfect coffee moment. These moments come alive in simplified tasting notes. Likewise, the visual language which is clean and elegant, has more than a passing nod to psychological tests with each product range being complimented with a symbolic geometric shape.
To date, the Reboot is having the desired effect with exponential growth. We’re also really excited by the public reaction to the Reboot with glowing comments that would make our mother’s proud.
